Description

This course offers an introduction to modeling human behavior using mathematical and computational methods. This includes approaches like computational rationality, game theory, individual-based simulations, task analysis, and other data-driven methods.

Learning objectives

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to

•    Explain different approaches to how human behavior can be formally modeled
•    Explain the benefits and limitations of these ap-proaches
•    Create models for simple scenarios
•    Apply this knowledge to design studies to verify mod-els and their assumptions and validate specific de-signs against the model
